RÉGÎM is offering its access card to all clients who want one. This card, which usualy sells for $5, enables transit users to buy bus tickets and monthly passes online. Use of the access card reduces the handling of money on our buses. In turn, this also reduces the risk of spreading COVID-19.
“We want to go one step further to limit the spread of COVID-19 on our territory. By cutting back on the cash and the number of bus tickets in circulation, we protect our clients and our staff,” said RÉGÎM director general Marie-Andrée Pichette.
The access cards are available on every bus from the drivers. After getting the card, users must activate it on the RÉGÎM website to buy tickets or passes online. Since the access card must be activated to be valid, users will have to pay fare for the ride when they obtain the card.
