Registration or reservation for the car-sharing service
What is the car sharing service?
The commissioning of car-sharing electric vehicles is phase 2 of a pilot project carried out in partnership with 6 municipalities in Gaspésie and Îles-de-la-Madeleine and the firm YHC Environnement.
The participating municipalities are:
- Carleton-sur-Mer;
- Maria;
- Grande-Rivière;
- Chandler;
- Gaspe ;
- Îles-de-la-Madeleine;
- as well as the RÉGÎM.
The participating municipalities as well as the REGIM will share their electric vehicles with the population, during certain time slots, to increase mobility in the region. The municipalities and the REGIM determine the available time slots for the vehicles. The schedule may vary from one municipality to another.
The fee schedule is established for all services. The rates are the same for all sectors. Penalty charges may apply in the event of non-compliance with the conditions. ( See the user contract for more information)
The hourly rate will be $7 for electric vehicles.
Registration or reservation for the car-sharing service
All users must register with the REGIM, and not with their municipality.
Possible hours of reservation of vehicles
The time slots available to the general public are:
Monday to Friday: from 4 p.m. until 8 a.m.
Saturday and Sunday: all day
How to use car sharing vehicles?
Register for the REGIM car-sharing service
Before being able to use an electric car-sharing vehicle, it is mandatory to register with REGIM.
The user must be at least 21 years old at the time of subscription and have a valid driver’s license.
Here are the 3 steps to register:
- You will need to create an account on the booking platform by entering your information (your contact details and your driver’s license number);
- A member of the REGIM team will contact you to validate the information and confirm your registration;
- A member of the REGIM team will direct you to the nearest point of service to confirm your identity, sign the user contract and collect your “SAUVER” card which will allow you to use the car.
It is with this account that you will be able to make a reservation, access the history of your reservations and consult your receipts.
PS: Before going to pick up your card, make sure you read and understand the regulations concerning the car-sharing of electric vehicles listed in the user contract, which you will have to sign.
To make a reservation
Before making a reservation, make sure you have completed the creation of your account, validated your identity, signed the user contract and retrieved your “SAUVER” card.
It is possible to reserve a vehicle to the nearest half-hour, between 21 days and five minutes in advance, depending on vehicle availability.
- Select the desired car;
- Select the date of your reservation;
- Determine the time of your reservation;
- Book!
The reservation will appear in your account. You can also cancel your reservation here.
Cancellation/delay
You can cancel your reservation free of charge up to 2 hours in advance. You have 15 minutes to take possession of the car when you make your reservation. After this time, your reservation will be canceled and cancellation fees will apply.
Don’t forget to allow time to recharge the car at the end of your trip. The car must have at least 70% battery when you return. Rely on the battery level indicator in the car’s dashboard.
Find out about charging stations
Before making your first trips, find out about the charging stations available in the area.
- Visit the lecircuitelectrique.com website to register and become a member of the charging station network. Download the “Electric circuit” app to charge the car on the go and to find nearby charging stations. You can also create your trips in this application and estimate the energy consumption you will need.
- You can also visit www.plugshare.com for other available charging stations!
Depending on the distance travelled, allow time for recharging the vehicle before the end of your reservation. The car must have at least 70% battery at the end of your reservation for the next user.
2 choices are available to you for recharging at the end of your reservation:
- If you want to use the charging station at the drop-off point (slow terminal), plan for it in the time of your reservation.
- Otherwise, identify a fast charging station near the drop-off point to recharge it before dropping off the car (see lecircuitelectrique.com or www.plugshare.com ).
