COVID-19 – RÉGÎM’s public transit: Essential travel only and mandatory reservation

As of Thursday, March 26, RÉGÎM’s public transit services will be offered upon reservation only. Users must call 24 hours in advance to reserve a seat. They must also confirm that travel is necessary (health, work or grocery shopping). People waiting at a bus stop without having reserved will not be allowed to embark.

For paratransit service in the Baie-des-Chaleurs, Haute-Gaspésie and Estran sectors, more than 95% of travel has been cancelled. Any travel which is maintained is that considered essential, either for health or occupational reasons. In the Estran sector, TACIM manages the service. You may contact it directly with any questions.

RÉGÎM’s administrative offices in Carleton-sur-Mer, Bonaventure and Sainte-Anne-des-Monts are closed completely. To reserve, or for any questions, the number to reach is (581) 886-0485.

Of course, we are asking users to continue following the instructions regarding hygiene recommended by public health authorities, namely:

  • hand washing;
  • avoiding touching your face;
  • coughing or sneezing into the crook of your arm;
  • staying home if you have flu-like symptoms.

In addition, in order to ensure compliance with the prescribed two-metre distance between people, certain seats will no longer be available in buses.

The situation is reassessed daily, in collaboration with our various partners. Please follow us on social media and on our website for all announcements about any new changes to our services.
