COVID-19 – masks are mandatory on RÉGÎM buses

Following the Government of Québec’s announcement that masks are now mandatory on public transit, today RÉGÎM is confirming that this obligation will be in effect on its buses as of Monday, July 13. The measure will provide our passengers with extra assurance and further reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 on our buses.

RÉGÎM is ready for this government measures because since the beginning of the pandemic, it has urged its clients to wear a mask. In addition, drivers are already able to provide masks to passengers who do not have one. We encourage our service users to have their own mask but, if necessary, masks continue to be available on our buses.

RÉGÎM wishes to remind its clients that its public transit services are operating according to the regular schedule. Our administrative offices at Carleton-sur-Mer, Bonaventure and Sainte-Anne-des-Monts remain closed to the public, but our customer services section is open. You can reach it at 1-877-521-0841, extension 0.

Of course, we are asking users to continue following the instructions regarding hygiene given by public health authorities, namely:

  • hand washing (disinfectant is available in every bus);
  • avoiding touching your face;
  • coughing or sneezing into the crook of your arm;
  • staying home if you have COVID-19 symptoms.
